This is the among smaller National park in the Northern Circuit, not only that but The lake Manyara on its own, occupies more than 2/3 of the whole park which continues to minify the park.
Despite being such smaller, Lake Manyara offers a unique scenic view. As it is situated at the basement of the Great Rift Valley’s escarpments. This Park is also well known for Tree-climbing Lions which can easily be seen relaxing on acacias trees during the day. At Manyara you will glimpse huge troops of Velvet Monkeys and its Soda -ash offers a suitable dwelling for Pink Flamingos which can be sighted from all angles of the Lake.
Being just off the road to the dominated national Parks of Ngorongoro and Serengeti, it makes Manyara be the busiest park on the circuit. As many tourists stop off en route to the larger park for a few hours before proceeding their trip.
Due to its size , Lake Manyara safari is not worth a full day trip though it is suitable for introducing wildlife safaris.
